Novi’s Breen Launches Bid for Michigan House Seat
Democrat and City Council Member Hosts June 6 Campaign Kickoff
Novi, MI, May 31, 2019: On June 6th, Novi City Council Member Kelly Breen is formally launching her campaign for State Representative with a kickoff event themed “Take Back Our State.” The event will be held at the 5th of Novi restaurant from 7pm to 10pm; attendees can enjoy appetizers and meet Breen and members of her campaign to discuss goals for Michigan and the 38th District.
This race will be Breen’s second run for the Michigan House, which gained five Democratic members in 2018. After a narrow loss, Breen believes that spreading the word about her initiatives and connecting directly with voters will be the key to her success in 2020. “My focus is on our people,” Breen says, “especially when it comes to making life better for our workers and families, and staying competitive from a jobs perspective. I've spoken to thousands of people in the district and these are the issues that are important to them. I plan on reaching out to more voters than ever before to talk about our visions and make sure they have a voice that represents them in Lansing.”
Breen, a Northville native, has served on the Novi City Council since 2017, and is also a practicing attorney in the area. She’s running because she is proud to call Michigan her home, and wants to help the state continue to grow and thrive: “My family and I love what Michigan has to offer, and public service is my way of investing in our future. I believe in Michigan and I want others to believe in Michigan too” To learn more about the Kelly Breen campaign, visit www.kellybreen.com.
